Yes, rapid chess can be a lot of fun.This is the final position. Check out the full pgn story below. I sacrificed my queen side pawns and then jammed up Black's position with Nd6 and Qe5. Black sacrificed a knight but it didn't help. I know there were better moves available for both sides but the lesson here is dynamics. Black's extra pawns are useless when his Bc8 and Ra8 aren't playing and e6 and g7 are under pressure. White just has to make sure that Black doesn't survive into the endgame. Sadly, when this round one game finished, there were only a few players left in the tournament. I find that many people log-off on chess.com when they lose in round one. On ICC you get penalized for not finishing an event. Try to finish your tournaments. You never know, your next game might be your little masterpiece. Play lots!!
